The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) invites applications for its Law Internship Scheme-2024. This scheme aims to engage 30 law interns from reputed law universities/institutes across India. The interns will gain practical exposure to the functioning of the CBI, assisting officers in various legal and investigative tasks.

Internship Details:

1. Number of Interns: 30

2. Locations: Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Lucknow, Bangalore

Eligibility Criteria:

- Nationality: Indian

- Education: Law student enrolled in a reputed Law University/Institute

- Course Progress:

- 5-year integrated LLB course: Completed or undergoing 8th semester

- 3-year LLB course: Completed or undergoing 4th semester

Internship Conditions:

- Payment: No payment; interns must arrange their own stay and travel

- Facilities: No medical or other facilities provided by CBI

- Employment: No right to future employment in CBI

- Duties:

- Assist CBI law officers and investigators

- Research court judgments

- Prepare court applications and replies

- Present evidence and documents

- Examine witnesses in court

- Trial and pairvi work

- Data collection and other assigned tasks

- Confidentiality: Interns must sign an "Oath of Secrecy"

Duration:

- Internship Period: 3 to 6 months
